Tiny Finder
If immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I’m flattered. Tiny Finder is a Perl/CGI fileNice clone, so if you’ve not got PHP on your system it could be worth keeping an eye on.

fileNice - updated again
A small but good and important update. I’ve rewritten the ajax stuff as it wasn’t properly asynchronous before. What this means to the end user is that the browser doesn’t freeze when opening a folder with a lot of files in it. It also means you get a nice “busy” state while it’s doing stuff so the user knows it’s, well, busy.
So, check it out.
Also, I forgot to thank Ross for pointing out the earlier security hole. Thanks Ross.
